Top Fashion Essentials from A to Z

Today, I’m counting down the top fashion essentials in my closet from A to Z. As I was paging through my closet, and trust me, I have a lot of stuff. I was thinking about everything I might have in common with other fashion lovers. So in naming all of my go-to items, I realized that I had something cool for each letter of the alphabet. So here is a fun list of things I think everyone should have in their closet, starting at A and ending at Z!

My Fashion Essentials from A – Z :

A is for A-Line

My closet wouldn’t be complete without one of my favorite go-to dresses; the A-line. A-line dresses are a true fashion essential because they are flattering on so many different figures.

B is for Bodysuit

Bodysuits are such a cute trend. I love bodysuits because they tuck so nicely under a pair of adorable pants.

C is for Capri Pants

I think the Capri length pant is coming back, and I could be happier. These are both cute and functional pieces for any closet.

D is for Denim

I feel like any fashion essential list can include denim without anyone questioning it. Denim is fundamental to casual looks, so we should all have some form of denim available in our closets.

E is for Earrings

Sometimes all it takes to make an outfit pop is the right accessories. The earring is one of my favorite accessories of all time because it brings a bit of glam and attention to your face!

F is for Flats

A good pair of flats can be equally cute as they are comfortable. Flats are the perfect versatile shoe. They match well with dresses, shorts and even pants.

G is for Graphic T-shirt

When styling is just too hard, the graphic t-shirt is here to save the day. Graphic t-shirts are one of the easiest style shortcuts, and they are the perfect way to show some attitude.

H is for High Heels

Just as crucial as flats are, my personal favorite, are high heels. High heels can elevate even causal looks to be chic and attractive, but they are my favorite with dresses to bring out that extra wow factor. talk about fashion essential.

I is for Intimates

Intimate apparel is rarely talked about openly, but it’s still one of those things that complete our closets. Having the right pair of underwear can really make a difference in your look. Choosing a bra that makes you feel good and underwear that doesn’t show is as basic as a fashion essential as you can have.

J is for Joggers

Joggers are one of my favorite trends because they make for the perfect loungewear around the house. Being a new mom, I have to be ready to move at any time, ad joggers are both stylish and easy to wear while the baby keeps me on my toes.

K is for Knee-High Boots

Wearing boots over the knee has been one of my favorite ways to wear dresses in cooler weather. To be fair, I live in California, so my cold isn’t freezing. However, knee-high boots do a great job of allowing me to wear my cute dresses while being both stylish and comfortable.

L is for Little Black Dress

While I could have said leggings or loafers, I had to go with one of my favorite things, a little black dress. Having a little black dress is like the baseline thing you can wear for any occasion. I love these so much I have a few!

M is for Miniskirt

The miniskirt is coming back, and that is totally exciting. I love the idea of styling miniskirts with tights and boots to elevate the style. In addition, the right mini skirt can come in several prints, making styling a breeze.

N is for Novelty

I love out-of-the-box thinking. I am so in when it comes to novelty fashion. The cheesier, the better. If it’s Valentine’s Day, cover me in hearts. If it’s Christmas, why not wear a Christmas tree dress. This is your area to be silly, and I love that.

O is for Overalls

I would have never thought I would be the one to say overalls are an actual closet essential, but it’s 2022, and here we are. They have really come out with some cute overalls that I can’t get off my mind. No longer do we live in a world where overalls are always denim. I’ve seen cute print and fun fabrics really make this former cringe into the latest craze.

P is for Paisley

Paisley is a print that most of us recognize, but it’s been some time since it’s really been in style. But, regardless of your feelings, paisley can dress up even the simplest of designs making the look feel more complete with little effort.

Q is for Quarter Strap Sandals

Quarter strap sandals have been a lifesaver for long walks and family outings. I find these fashion-forward shoes to be some of the most comfortable ad supportive styles on a growing trend.

R is for Retro Fashion

The open stylistic element of retro fashion makes it just a kind of work in the modern world. So having a fun retro piece in your closet can bring on the nostalgia, or it can be from a time you feel connected with. Either way, these are some of the most fun pieces I own, and they always get the most compliments. Vintage fashion is also a go-to, check out my Unique Vintage haul with my sister for inspo.

S is for Strapless

Having a cute strapless dress or shirt is a great way to show off your shoulders. I like strapless because it makes me feel a little daring while being trendy and unique.

T is for Two Piece Set

When it comes t effortless fashion essentials, the two-piece set is the first thing that comes to my mind. 2 pieces sets are fantastic and easy to style.

U is for Underlay

I love an excellent mesh look with an eye-catching underlay!

V is for V-neck Tops

The V-neck is one of the most flattering necklines on a top and is totally a fashion essential. So if you catch me in a T-shirt, it’s most likely going to be a V-neck.

W is for Walking Shoes

Don’t underestimate the importance of a comfortable shoe that is easy to walk in. I have a few pairs of walking shoes that really make me feel great. This is probably the most important closet essential there is.

X is for ….

Please X-cuse me, but I can’t think of a fashion essential that starts with the letter X.

Y is for Yoga Pants

Even if you have never done a down dog in your life, yoga pants are relaxed, comfortable, and sporty. Even though they have been on trend for a long time, they are still a closet go-to, so they are a comfy must in most closets.

Z is for Zip-up Hoodie

If you’re like me, you don’t like to feel trapped in what you are wearing. As much as I love a good hoodie, I love the freedom of a comfy zip-up style, so I would always vouch for zip-up over a pull-on.
